The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding accomplishments and contributions in promoting and protecting the principles and policies of fair business taxation. Recipients achieve recognition through the attributes that epitomize Linda S. Weindruch: Advocacy, Leadership, Fairness, and Strong Moral Compass.
One of Ms. Weindruch's most notable career achievements was her work involving the passage of the Iowa Taxpayers' Procedural Bill of Rights in 1994. This legislation represented significant advances on behalf of taxpayers and those doing business with the Iowa Department of Revenue. In addition to providing important safeguards for
The 2006 Award Recipients were instrumental enacting this landmark legislation. Dinkla and Neuhauser worked tirelessly in moving this bi-partisan effort through the Iowa Legislature. Their efforts continue to be widely recognized and greatly appreciated by the taxpayers of this state.
