The Committee on Accountable Government conducts nonpartisan research on the cost of state government and its political subdivisions. To furnish taxpayers and public officials accurate and useful information from these studies; and, to initiate the advancement of proposals that foster a sound environment for economic growth in Iowa, promoting accountability, efficiency, and long-term stability in State finances.
